Using reference photos and natural materials gathered from the nursery grounds, they used conkers, sticks and clay to bring their ideas to life. 🍂 Autumn brings with it shiny conkers - treasures that hold the potential to grow into magnificent horse chestnut trees. 🌳 Our Sapphires have been busy planting conkers, learning how something so small can grow into something so grand. This hands-on experience nurtures their curiosity, care and responsibility for the natural world. 🌱 Sadly, horse chestnut trees are now classed as vulnerable due to pests and disease, meaning they could one day disappear from parts of Europe. By planting conkers, children are not only exploring the wonder of growth, but also playing their part in protecting these much-loved trees for the future. 🌰

The children headed out with their buckets to hunt for crunchy leaves, shiny conkers and long sticks before bringing their treasures back inside. Back in the room, things got messy with an autumn painting activity - using the very leaves and sticks they’d collected to make creative prints and patterns. 🎨 There was plenty of laughter too, as the children explored the textures of the paint with their hands, playfully painting their peers (and even grownups!) which had everyone giggling. This activity also links to our new curriculum focus on art - Gain Creative Confidence - encouraging children to experiment with different materials to make colourful art pieces. One of the highlights was a trip to the woods, where the children enjoyed a special visit from our guinea pigs from the farm! They loved feeding them, giving gentle strokes, and learning how to care for these furry friends - just one of the many exciting experiences children get to enjoy at Jubilee Jets. ✨ Looking ahead... half-term is on the way and October bookings are open! Last week, our Dinky Diamonds and Tiny Twinkles enjoyed a visit to The Little Play Lounge. They had so much fun exploring the different areas on offer imaginative role play and dress-up, to climbing, sensory play and discovering a wide variety of toys. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience a new environment together, sparking curiosity, creativity and plenty of happy smiles! ~ Jubilee Gems Nursery 💎

We’re so excited to finally share our brand new outdoor play environment! The team have worked incredibly hard to create a wonderful new outdoor area for the children to explore & enjoy - and what a transformation it has been! Yesterday we celebrated Helen’s incredible 30 years of service at Jubilee! Helen’s dedication, compassion, endless patience, boundless creativity and unwavering commitment to Jubilee has, and is continuing to, shape young peoples lives in Early Years. As a deputy Manager, Helen has lead with heart, care and an inspiring work ethic that sets the standards for everyone around her. Her passion for Early Years shines through in everything she does and we are all better for it. Thank you for your amazing service and the difference you make to Jubilee every day.

This week our Hedgehogs children have been busy getting creative for Hat Day! They brought in old cereal boxes which they then transformed into their very own imaginative hats. Not only was this a fun activity, but it also gave the children the chance to explore recycling and reusing materials in a playful hands-on way. A wonderful activity combining creativity, sustainability and lots of laughter. ~ Jubilee Day Nursery

Our Treetops children have had a fantastic first week in their new room. 🌿 They enjoyed a visit to the woods where they explored the outdoors, collected their very own flowers, petals and leaves, and used them to create beautiful pieces of wildlife art. It’s been a wonderful way to settle into their new space - learning, exploring and getting creative together! ~ Jubilee Day Nursery 🌳
