The smiles on their faces as they donned their graduation caps and gowns were priceless, and those moments will stay with us forever. It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, but we know they are off to do amazing things. To our Treetops graduates, we want to say: We will miss you dearly! We had an incredible Sports Day for Orchards and Treetops! The sunny weather set the perfect backdrop for a day filled with cheer, laughter, and endless fun. Our young athletes gave it their all, making the day truly memorable. The children participated in a variety of events, including obstacle courses, races, relays, and even parent races! It was wonderful to see the parents actively involved, cheering on their little ones and even competing themselves. The energy was palpable, and the sense of community was heartwarming. We wrapped up the day with delicious ice cream, refreshing lemonade, a sweet stall, and delightful picnics. It was the perfect way to end a successful event. Our dedicated staff didn't just organize the events; they fully immersed themselves in the day’s activities, encouraging and motivating the children to do their best. Their enthusiasm and support played a significant role in the day’s success. As James L. Hymes Jr. wisely said, “Play builds the kind of free-and-easy, try-it-out, do-it-yourself character that our future needs.” This quote perfectly encapsulates the spirit of our Sports Day. The children not only had fun but also built character and resilience through play. A massive well done to all the children for their incredible effort and sportsmanship. Our latest favourite is crafting a delightful ice cream-themed tuff tray! Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating your own at home or in your nursery. 🌈 Ingredients You’ll Need: - Uncooked Rice: Perfect for creating the sprinkles - Food Coloring: Use a variety of pastel shades to mimic the colours of your favourite ice creams flavours and sprinkles! - A Sweet Scent: We used marshmallow scent to make our tray smell delicious - Shaving Foam: Great for adding a fluffy, whipped cream-like texture. - Cones: Any type of cones will do; they’re perfect for pretend scooping and serving. We absolutely loved using these soft, summery pastel colours to bring a bit of sunshine into our play! As the summer draws to a close, we can't help but reminisce about the unforgettable memories we've created at our six-week holiday club. From the sound of laughter echoing through the fields to the splash of water during an epic water fight, this summer has been nothing short of magical for the children who joined us. One of the highlights of our summer program was undoubtedly the water play activities. With the sun shining brightly, the children eagerly participated in water fights, creating moments of pure joy. Summer is the perfect time to let creativity flow, and that's exactly what we did! From arts and crafts sessions where children could express their artistic talents to hands-on baking and cooking activities, we ensured that every child had the opportunity to explore their creativity. These activities not only kept the children engaged but also helped them develop new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Our 'Jets Got Talent' shows were a massive hit, providing a platform for every child to shine. From singing and dancing to magic tricks and comedy acts, the talent on display was simply amazing.
