Rain, rain, come and play!

The Orchards children have been exploring their focus of 'Rain' through a fun, hands-on water play activity! Using pipettes, colanders and funnels, they created their own rain showers, waterfalls and splashes – with blue-tinted water for that pop of colour and shaving foam clouds floating on top.

Through this sensory play, the children developed:

🌧️ Fine motor skills - squeezing, pouring and scooping.

💧 Scientific thinking - exploring cause and effect as the “rain” fell.

☁️ Language and imagination - describing drizzle, pour and splash!

A splash-tastic way to make learning about the weather fun and meaningful 🌦️💦
