Yesterday was an exciting day at Jubilee Day Nursery as both children and staff came dressed in their best farmer-inspired outfits! From vibrant checked shirts to straw hats and dungarees, the nursery was transformed into a colourful farmyard. The children were full of excitement, proudly showing off their outfits and embracing the day's theme.
Our little ones didn’t just look the part - they dove right into farm life! Throughout the day, they explored a wide range of fruits and vegetables, engaging all their senses by planting, chopping, feeling, and even smelling the different produce. This hands-on experience allowed them to understand where our food comes from in a fun and interactive way.
In addition to their sensory play, the children were introduced to farm machinery and tools, sparking conversations about how farms operate. We also shared some engaging farm-themed stories, bringing everything to life through books and storytelling.
It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, learning, and exploration. We love creating these themed days at Jubilee Day Nursery, as they offer such rich opportunities for children to learn through play and discovery.
